Doom Trooper

Historia karcianek świata Mutant Chronicles zaczyna się od oryginalnego Doom Troopera. Była to kolekcjonerska gra karciana, zaprojektowana przez Bryana Wintera, wydana przez szwedzką firmę Target Games w styczniu 1995 roku. The history of card games placed in a world of Mutant Chronicles begins from the original Doom Trooper. It was a collector’s card game, designed by Bryan Winter, released by the Swedish company Target Games in January 1995.

W 1999 roku przestała być dalej wydawana w związku z bankructwem wyżej wymienionej spółki (więcej o losach franczyzy przeczytacie tutaj). Ale w ciągu tych 4 lat TG zdążyło wypuścić 7 dodatków: Inquisition, Golgotha, WarZone, Apokalipsa, Paradise Lost oraz Mortificator (ostatni dodatek nie został wydany po polsku). W tym czasie powstał też karciany spin-off o nazwie ‘Dark Eden’, którego akcja nadal rozgrywa się w uniwersum Kronik Mutantów, jednak tym razem w centrum wydarzeń nie były starcia potężnych Megakorporacji z Legionem Ciemności tylko lokalny konflikt czterech plemion na toksycznej i opuszczonej Ziemi. Po dwóch dekadach od premiery klasycznej karcianki, Secret Cow Level -deweloper gier wideo z Los Angeles- ogłosił rozpoczęcie prac nad sieciową wersją Doom Troopera. Otwarta beta ruszyła w 2019.

 In 1999, it ceased to be issued due the bankruptcy of the abovementioned company (you can read more about the fate of the franchise here). But during these 4 years TG managed to release 7 additions: Inquisition, Golgotha, WarZone, Apocalypse, Paradise Lost and Mortificator (the last expansion unfortunatelly was’t released in Polish). At that time was also created, a spin-off card game called ‚Dark Eden’ , whose action is still taking place in the Mutant Chronicles universe, but this time main plot wasn’t about the struggle of powerfull Megacorporations and the Dark Legion. In Dark Eden had to take part in a „local” conflict between the four tribes on the toxic and abandoned Earth. Two decades after the premiere of the classic card game, Secret Cow Level company appeard. New video game developing studio from Los Angeles announced that they have started works on the online version of Doom Trooper. The open beta was launched in 2019.
